Moving to a marvelous Plan B New York Dance Alliance Exchange's last-minute program changes turn out just fine.

On Saturday night, Community Education Center became the little performance space that could, when a dancer's last-minute injury forced changes in a program that ended up wowing its enthusiastic audience. CEC's intimate space rocked with solo works by several New Yorkers and a Philadelphian, brought together for this year's New York Dance Exchange.

Victoria Libertore, new-vaudevillian and HulaHoop champ, performed a series of sketches - involving lip-synching to Frank Sinatra and others, a Tickle Me Elmo doll, a dildo, and a half-dozen hoops - that ranged from show-stoppingly funny to over-the-edge dark humor. Her drunken stagger with glittering hoops was worth the price of admission; the sharp-eyed battle-of-the-sexes vignettes came for no extra charge.
